Stuart's Model Railway

Header Photo

This is the final model railway layout that my father made, and it's a replica (with some license taken!) of the Black Country town of Stourbridge in the early 1950s, with Wordsley church and the Red House Glass Cone visible in the backdrop.

It's an N-gauge model railway with a layout size of 33 by 48", and a backdrop board of 8 by 48". Some of the buildings are made and then amended from kits, but the rest are all hand-crafted and the railway was researched and designed from scratch. As many people will know, Dad was an artist hence the painted backdrop that continues the layout design into the distance.
